Skills:

Knowledge of:
ISO/TS quality system requirements,
APQP processes, including FMEA and control plan development,
Problem solving methodologies (8P,5D,5 why, etc),
Inspection/measurement devices, including CMM's, micrometers, calipers, height gauge, etc.
Computer literacy required. In-depth knowledge of PC-DMIS metrology software required, DataView, DataPage preferred.

Duties:

Lead, motivate, and manage plant-blased quality personnel including managers, engineers and technicians as direct reports.
Provide leadership for corporate and divisional quality program strategy and execution. Work with management group to instill a quality culture in every facet of the organization.
Develop a quality strategy to meet or exceed the compliance and system requirements of the various ISO and TS certifications and internal standards.
Establish and manage the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for all new products/processes. Lead teams in developing PFEMAS and quality control plans.
Manage and develop the quality group, establishing, refining and monitoring quality metrics. Establish periodic reporting to senior management on strengths and weaknesses of the Quality System and team, develop and implement actions plans to eliminate deficiencies.
Establish framework for continuous improvement in operations.
Establish calibration programs for tools, equipment and inspection systems for plants.

Operate production punch press machinery or other production related functions.
Process components as assigned and place in proper packaging as specified by customer in production packets (tubs, skids, boxes, etc).
Periodically check for quality of product and maintain proper reports.
Detects and reports defective components or questionable conditions to production coordinator or quality department.
Regulates machinery by setting and adjusting controls.

Responsible for all gage design and prcurement.
Submit quality plans and all information needed by customer via customer established process.

Ability to weld with good penetration and quality appearance.

First and Second

Duties:

Use MIG welder to assemble and repair fabricated metal products.
Produces quality welds that have proper penetration and visually appear to be smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
Understand various edge preps before welding.
Maintains/produces level of output that will minimize production delays.
Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
Assist other individuals in area when needed.


General Description:

Good attendance is a must. Physical ability to work and weld in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down and overhead will be required of this position.
