Engineering Capabilities
The Morgal Machine Tool Company corporate engineering department provides engineering services for Morgal Machine, Ohio Stamping and Machine, and Rose City Manufacturing, as well as customers that are interested in turn key project management.
Our extensive experience in producing quality stampings enables us to assist customers in designing or redesigning stampings and stamped assemblies that are easier and more economical to produce and provide better fit and function characteristics. Whether it is a single stamping, a family of stampings, or a welded assembly that may contain non-stamped components; we can take any part of, or an entire project, and provide engineering services, tools, and finished products.
While we build tools in our own modern tool shop, larger tools and tools for the larger projects are usually built by any one of several local tool fabrication shops with whom we have developed long term partnerships. We take total responsibility for the process, design, construction, and experimentation with new tools. All designs are reviewed internally prior to construction by a team consisting of production, quality, engineering, purchasing and tool room personnel, to ensure machine compatibility, ease of maintenance, ease of operation and maximum tool life.
Our accomplished team of Tool Designers and Engineers are equipped with the latest 3D design and modeling software. Current CAD systems include: SolidWorks, UniGraphics, AutoCad, Mechanical Desktop, FastForm 3D analysis and translation for Catia V5 to SolidWorks. We can receive most file formats in use today including dxf, dwg, step, iges and the usual image formats. On the rare occasion that a format is not recognized, we have external sources that can support our needs. Data can be sent via email attachments, through CD or uploaded to our FTP site.
In addition to providing services directly to customers the corporate engineering department supplies total engineering services to our family of companies. Those services include plant layouts, material handling devices, quick die change systems, and evaluation of production processes. All of these areas help us to continually improve and remain competitive in today's rapidly changing manufacturing environment
