Quality Statement
Since the inception of Morgal Machine Tool Company, we have put primary emphasis on producing quality metal stampings to satisfy the critical needs of the industries we serve. This commitment to Quality is evident in the certification of our Quality Management System to ISO/TS 16949 in May of 2002. ISO/TS 16949 is the latest standard in the world of quality and places an emphasis on customer specific requirements. Morgal is proud to be one of the leading edge companies in all of the industries that we serve to be certified to this worldwide accepted Quality Management System Standard.
One key feature of our Quality Management System is our continuous improvement program. Everyday, our company takes strides to improve our products and processes. A major component of the continuous improvement system is the comprehensive quality training program that our associates go through. All of our machine operators are trained in quality inspection, problem solving, and statistical process control. Each operator is responsible for maintaining the quality of the parts that they produce and documenting inspection data as it is collected. We have the capability to utilize SPC as required, since all associates are trained in SPC techniques. By providing all of our associates with the tools and techniques that are needed for problem solving, we have the ability to continuously improve our product and processes on a daily basis.
We also have trained Quality Inspectors on each shift to perform first piece and final inspections as well as random, in-process audits of our products and processes. Our internal training program is enhanced by outside certification by ASQ (American Society for Quality). Furthermore, as part of our Quality Management System, a detailed internal auditing program is in place that regularly reviews our processes to ensure the best quality product is being shipped to our customers.
An IMS Impact 800 DCC CMM is utilized for layout inspection. This CMM has Virtual DMIS software with the full capability to import and export many common CAD file extensions. This machine allows us to utilize Solid Surface 3D Imaging that is used for Reverse Engineering. Also, a computerized calibration recall system is used for all measuring tools and gages (including associate owned). The calibration system, along with Gage R & R studies, maintains the dependability of all inspection measuring equipment and devices.
Quality personnel are trained in the Production Part Approval Process so that we can provide PPAP submittals in AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group / QS9000) or customer specific format. These formats can include (as required); flowcharting, FMEA, samples, dimensional layouts, capability studies, gage studies, or any other customer specific forms and studies.
Advance Product Quality Planning is accomplished by utilizing a cross-functional Advance Product Planning Team. All new products and processes are analyzed by this team from the acceptance of the order through initial production, to provide ultimate Quality Assurance for the entire production process. New projects are also assigned a Project Manager that tracks and reports the progress of the projects to the rest of the cross-functional team.
Morgal takes great pride in the quality of workmanship that we provide to our customers. Our commitment to certification to ISO/TS 16949, in-depth continuous improvement and the utilization of the latest tools and techniques in Quality will help ensure a superior product.
