Springfield Rotary Mini Grand Prix

The annual Springfield Rotary Mini Grand Prix event took place May 16 and 17, 2008 downtown Springfield.

Team captain this year was Mark Hurt, Morgal. The event began Friday afternoon with driver practice from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The Morgal team took first place at the Friday evening Tire Change Contest. On Saturday, May 17, there were the Qualifying Heat #1, #2, #3 races. Jamie McGregor, Morgal, took first place in the Heat #1. At the awards ceremony on Saturday afternoon, the McGregor Metalworking Companies team took 8th place out of 35 teams. Tom Gruden and Darlene Carpenter ran the concession stand.
